Will be tough to pass on Carr or Garop if they are there
What round is Justin Ellis projected to go? Would he be there in the fourth? Maybe trade back in the second, pick up a third and take Hill in the second and Ellis with the third round pick.
that would be the only thing that would redeem this draft in my eyes. Puts pressure on Locker.. and not a tremendous amount of pressure on the new QB, being a 2nd rounder. a 2nd round bust is a lot easier to handle. And if history repeats itself, RW is a much better 2nd round drafter than 1st round.
I see us taking hyde if dereck carr is off the board then picking up mettenberger in the 4th round but I could see them swapping that and taking mettenberger in the 2nd and a rb in the 4th...I just know that whiz is high on mettenberger.. but I know he will be there in the forth because of injuries.
They land a guy like Nix or Hyde, and or a pass rusher and I am liking the draft so far at that point. Mainly because it would show us that they are going for "Attitude" and fast. I like that, this team has been vanilla for too long. I want to grind teams down and make their days long.
Carr will be gone.. Hyde, Mason or Garappolo makes a ton of sense at 42.
Well, we can agree to disagree. The Titans had him in for a visit, so they have to like him more than I do. I can only go by what I see and I sure could be wrong on this. Won't be the first time I've been wrong about something.
While I don't want the Titans to draft him, especially in the second round, I will certainly hope I'm wrong if they do take him.
I think we're looking for a change of pace at RB instead of our next franchise guy, so I doubt we go RB in the 2nd unless Webster and Whiz absolutely love a guy. Right now I want Nix, think he'll be a perfect fit for our 3-4. If he's gone then I hopefully Derek Carr or best pass rusher available.
If we don't go QB in the 2nd and Murray isn't there in the 4th then just wait till next year to draft a guy in the 1st.
Not the biggest fan of Mason.
He's horrible at pass blocking, doesn't catch the ball well, and I swear every big play I see from him starts with a mile wide hole in Malzahn's offense. Rather go Hyde or Sankey if we're going RB in the 2nd.
Seastrunk, Sims, or Carey in the 4th.
