I wouldn't hate that pick but we have enough holes without having to replace Verner. They need to hurry and re-sign verner so we can take CB's off the board

Saying he's not the worst corner in titans history isn't really saying much at all now is it?

Justin Gilbert established himself as clearly the best DB in the draft. His workout was better than Dennard and either top safety prospect. Clinton-Dix and pryor did nothing to compel you to use an 11th pick on them. Dennard should not even be considered there.

Gilbert meets the 4 basic criteria for drafting a CB high. 6'0 200 lbs, a sub 4.40 40 and a sub 7.00 cone.

I agree. Gilbert's arms also were the longest of any DB and almost 2 inches longer than Dennard. He also has KOR skills, but with the new rules the KO is not nearly as important as it used to be.

If we can't sign Verner then I'm not too worried about filling his spot, because I feel confident that we can get a good CB in the 1st or 2nd rnd and then sign a cheap vet as depth to compete with all the young guys that we have.

Detroit is more likely to take Dennard than Gillbert.

He's been in their back yard and they've seen more of him.

Also- Dennard is about 3x's the football player that Gillbert is.

Gillbert is yet again another guy that is getting too much credit for being a good return guy.

    Dennard: A great cornerback.
Gillbert: A great athlete that can play cornerback.

Dennard is solid all around. Gillbert has a lot of holes in his game.
