Work and my girlfriend are destroying my GoTitansForum/Reggae Meditation opportunities in this hectic time of year.
I watched the Bears game at her parents house drinking watered down unsweetened tea for Christ's sake! They don't drink during Titans games?
A lesser man would need Milk of the Poppy to make it through that abortion.
I keep up with page one, but am usually playing catch-up so I mainly just high five RSB's posts instead of posting things that were said for 10 pages before I even started reading.
I'm brainstorming on a pretty brilliant liquor-across-state lines idea right now though so I may have much more free time soon. Or much much less.

Why has he recently dropped two 10 yard passes that hit him right in the hands with no defender around him?

If that is the best hands on the team we are more screwed than I thought.

Too bad it takes 2 hands to catch the ball.

But yea you could be right, he's got 1 good hand.

Please don't tell me Stevens has better hands or that he's the better player. We've seen him drop those passes too. It happens. That's not about bad hands, it's mental, where it's actually easier for you to catch a pass when you are covered. I was like that in high school, was known for making some sick catches in traffic, but would drop the ones when I was wide open. Nothing you can't fix.

Cook is our most talented receiver, so let me ask you this, how much is a large contract for him to you?

I'm not a fan of Cook, but I don't hate him either, he's good, he brings something to the table.

A good contract IMO for his services would be around $4M/year. Tony Gonzalez makes about $5M this year, and veterans now get paid a little more than before, so I bet his number he wants is about $4M/yr

Martellus Bennett of the Giants has been on fire this year, and he's signed for less than $3M, but he's gonna want a bigger deal next year, so we're back to $4M for those types of TE's nowadays.

I mean that is a little steep, but when you realize what the other guys are getting, it's fair.

It would be more fair if he would catch the 3rd and 4 passes that bounce off his chest

So now he is our most talented receiver? When he drops easy first downs with no players around him???

I'm not sure about the contract I would have to compare. If we keep Cook and he is around the 20th highest paid TE in the league that would probably be alright. No way he deserves top10TE money.

Maybe we do give him "top 10" money today, not a big deal, by tomorrow someone else will sign a TE and make Cook the 11th highest paid TE. Then in 2 years he's the 14th highest paid. We've got to spend money now so money doesn't really matter as much as in years past.
