Considering a MAC

  1. No one would bother developing for a G4 anymore. That's like developing for Windows 98...

    its highly unlikely but I would still use appropriate security measures because you may be safe from viruses, but what about other ways hackers get your information like phishing and dubious websites. Also, a physical firewall wouldn't hurt because you have to worry about information security. Just because you are unlikely to get infected doesnt mean there arent other threats to worry about. The ultimate goal of an attack is to destroy data or datamine data. Both have detrimental capabilities and neither of them require a virus persay.

    So, with a Mac do you still have to install Nortons or Spybot or some kind of anti-malware programs?
