lol at someone starting a VY thread to complain about the VY threads.

Who has said he is a god?

I can think of plenty of people that said he was a "retard" "akili smith" "can't play in the NFL" etc etc., but where is all this overstated greatness? What I've read is people that support him and thought he could get better, some rational people that didn't think he could improve, and a bunch of morons that stated he would always suck as FACT.

 

The VY is a god people thought that back when he was a quitter and when he played he was playing crappy. IMO they have no objective position to begin with and are simply lucky thier god put the work and effort in to improve his game.

The so called haters were the more objective poster because we called it like it was. VY was a lousy passer, made bad decisions, threw twice as many picks as TDs and on top of that was a cry baby quitter. It also was apparent his attitude needed some adjustment.

The facts are that VY grew up, changed his game and his attitude. It is OK for VY to say I told you so. as for the blind lovers of their god, rejoice in the fact VY did it and stop spending your time acting like you need to stick up for the man.

 

some called it like they saw it, others were simply haters. people saying he wasn't smart enough to play quarterback without ever knowing the guy. making suicide jokes.

i think the threads are more directed towards those people rather than the ones who just didn't think he was a good player.

 

When it comes to any issue, there's always people that have good arguments to rationalize their beliefs and people that blindly sticky by a belief for no reason (stubbornness?).

In this case, there have always been both VY haters and VY homers that fall under both categories. You just have to take every post for what it's worth in it's content. 6 weeks ago, people had every right to hate on VY (or think he wasn't going to improve himself, let alone the team). Now? Regardless of how much you think he has or hasn't improved the team, you just can't complain about a 5-0 record.

 

These threads are popping up so much right now because before Vince took over (and even weeks into him taking over) the VY hate on this forum was just soooooo ridiculously absurd. As Alex said, some people were calling him a retard for no good reason and claiming that he would never amount to anything with such supreme confidence. It's only natural to want to throw it in those people's faces just a little bit.

That said, it is getting to a point where everyone just needs to let it go. But it's a two-way street. If people keep throwing those little unnecessary negative Vince comments in their posts when it's unwarranted, the "eat crow" threads will continue to come everytime he has a good game.

The fans need to unite behind VY right now. We do care about the team first and foremost, right? And we have won five in a row after an 0-6 start, right? Vince has been a pretty big part of the turnaround, right? The bottom line is there's no reason to be saying anything negative about the guy at this point in time. If he reverts back to his old turnover-prone, immature self then by all means come back with the negativity. Until then it's just unnecessary and ignorant. If you hate Vince so much that you are still talking smack right now after a victory like we had on Sunday you might as well just find yourself another team. Because he'll never be good enough for you and it's looking like he's going to be the Titans QB for quite awhile.

 

Not every fan loves every player...whadda ya gonna do?...
