lol... they're comparing irvin to pierre-paul now..
Oh ho ho look at youuuu.
They have to say something during this combine, otherwise it'll be pretty quiet.
Poe just made the top 10. Perry looks solid, this DL class is deep!!
LOL. But all my previous comments still stand. He showed that he is athletic which we knew. Strength was a question, and he def bulked up. He's going to need an arsenal of pass-rush moves still.. he can't just run by people in the NFL anymore.
This could very well be the deepest DL class ever!
DE: Coples, Mercilus, Branch, Perry, Curry, Ingram, and Upshaw
DT: Cox, Brockers, Still, Poe, Thompson, and Worthy
We could very well go DL in 1st and 2nd round, and get two solid players with a 1st round grade.
I'd love this draft:
2nd: Markelle Martin
3rd: Mike Martin
2002 also looked like a huge year for D-Lineman, however what are Ryan Sims, Wendell Bryant, Albert Haynesworth, and Bryan Thomas doing right now? All drafted soon after Peppers and Freeney, but today most would say weren't the best picks.
Same in 2003. Dewayne Robertson, Johnathan Sullivan, Jimmy Kennedy, Michael Haynes, Jerome McDougle, William Joseph, and Tyler Brayton were all first round picks taken before Osi Umenyiora, now where are they?
Point is, D-Lineman always impress at the combine, don't let these guys fool you, see the tape.
To be honest I'm not sold on a lot of the DEs, maybe cause DEs have a history of being busts. DTs are very nice this year though.
I think Ingram & Upshaw will bust, not sure on Mercilus or Curry yet. I'm liking Nick Perry the most.
Vontaze Burfict ran a 5.09. His fall down draft boards continues.
