Vy will make the Hall Of Fame, it's all in good fun.
I'm glad to see that CJ is expecting a lot of himself and this team. Knock him all you want for saying these things, but at least he is being confident in himself and the team. We need that can't-lose attitude.
Not to make C.J.'s words less meaningful, but I do recall Richard Seymour saying the Raiders would also make the playoffs earlier this season.
Now people I don't believe Seymour, but I do want to believe in the best weapon since Marshall Faulk.
the .1% chance of the Titans making the playoffs is the same as saying the Titans had a 3% chance of signing Haynesworth in free agency.
Let me clarify a bit. Yeah, I think Fisher needs to go, but because 1. he did make some horrible decisions this year but that wasn't what irked me. It was is staunch, adamant refusal to own up to his mistakes. He deflected blame in so many directions like an F-117 stealth fighter/bomber deflects radar waves.
He also had to have Bud force him to start Vince... after he adamantly stated that Collins gives us the best chance of winning, even in light of an 0-6 record.
You can have all the ability and talent in the world (in Fisher's case...to coach), but if you're a stubborn, arrogant douche that won't listen, and do what you want, it kinda ruins the whole thing. Fisher's arrogance and stubbornness reminds me a lot of VY's last year and year before.
So IFFFFF, by chance Fisher eats some humble pie, and changes the way he coaches (and speaks to the media...I can't @#%% stand Fisherspeak. It insults my intelligence), then I might like him to stay. He's no more a bad coach than VY is a QB...they just both let their arrogance and 'untouchableness' influence the way they make decisions. IMO, if he still has that stubbornness and arrogance about him after the season, then let him go...or at least strip him of any decsion making ability.
As for that, given that there were those same database issues last season against Baltimore in the p/o game, I would have assumed that between that game and the draft...almost 4 months later, that it would have been fixed; that's when I lost my desire to be reasonable. But that's another story and water under the bridge now.
Is it possible to bench the coach?
Dan Snyder 'sort of' did it with Jim Zorn.
Don't think you can bench them per se, but you can relieve them of their current duties and put them on less desireable duties.
Well if that's how it is, and we can't bench him then lets give him doggy duties. Fisher is pissing me off lately.
Couldnt agree more...
Cant agree with this part. Lol. For me winning doesnt allow me to forget the past. I've been a fan of the Titans since they were with Houston..so i've been apart of the JF regime for a while..and it seems like theres always a pattern. For everytime JF f*cks up...something positive happens after and all is forgiven. I jumped off the JF bandwagon some time ago dispite last season because im tired of the same ole..same ole. What JF did earlier this season (stubborness..lack of accountability..etc..) isnt anything new. He didnt JUST acquire those characteristics. They've always been there...and as long as he's the HC they'll continue to rear its ugly head. And long after the CJ/VY "high" is over..I have no doubt we'll be back where we were with the utter frustration many of us had weeks ago. Why? Because if JF has proven anything it is that he will not change. I can only hope that Bud Adams doesnt become "blinded" by the recent wins of the Titans and give the change thats truly needed in Tennessee
Been pissin me off as well. Imma be nuked if he does go through with starting Harper and incinerated if he doesn't yank Harper if he starts getting burned.
He needs to evolve with the times. This isn't the 70s/early 80s anymore.
Fisher is like a carburetor (with a clogged up float bowl) in a world full of electronic fuel injection.
