Wow, correct me if I'm wrong but if we carry over that 12.8 mil, teamed with the releases of Amano, Hutchinson & Babineaux, we can have 35 - 40 mil in cap space?

Yes, the way the new CBA was setup, a team can carry over any unused cap space from the previous year. If I understand it correctly, it's a like a snowball, teams can just keep collecting their unused cap space year after year. So if we have $12.8M from last year, and say $10M this year, we could carry over $22.8M. A team can carry over some or all, or none of their unused cap space.

But wait a second, isn't this year also the first where teams HAVE to spend 90% of their cap space? The whole rollover thing can get out of control if they don't have a minimum salary cap. I'm just going off my memory here of what I read on the new CBA but I'm sure I might be wrong too.

They have to spend 89% of the cap which should be around $121M this year. They do not have to spend any of the rollover money.

I hope we spend some rollover money, but since we still have 8.1 from 2011, I don't like the chances of that happening
