I don't know why people are comparing Cam to VY (they're both tall and black??)

VY was a much better college QB than Cam.

Whenever a player is of the less common race at a position, in this case being Black for QB they are compared. Have you never noticed that every white receiver is the next wes welker?

Thoough I commend Young's vast improvement over the years and think he came out of his time wih this place as a good QB, no way am I tolerating another three years of teaching a QB how to pass and stand in the pocketl.

And footwork omg, he threw so many bad passes off his backfoot when he had time to set his feet. he showed that he doesnt have the armstrength or the accuracy to make it work out either.

Infact he has KFC armstrength. 38 year old KFC armstrength. AKA meh

His great line play will be negated by the frequent penalties he racks up. Ive seen him play for awhile, and he has had ountless hits not called that will be called in the NFL. Hes a dominant deffensive lineman, worthy of first round status, but top ten makes me wonder to tell you the truth.

Cam Newton did nothing to convince me he is anything but the top QB prospect in this draft. He was a little rusty and not as sharp as he was in his last 2 games but he still had a decent game.

I don't disagree that, with Luck staying in school, Newton is at the top of this class at the QB position. I just think that this is a pretty bad class.

We need to stay away from a #1 QB pick, no matter how bad we think we need a QB. No QB in this draft is worth a #8 pick. I agree with those who say we go Defense early.

Because he is black of course.

I love the Vy comparisons because VY had the tools and still has the tools to be a great NFL QB. It's up to the scouts and the coaching staff to decide if he has the right attitude and work ethic. If they believe he does then we should take him 8th unless we can get a decent deal for Orton.
