That's a good pickup for the Bucs. Blount will probably get some playing time, he's a good change of pace to Caddy, and Caddy will probably get injured at some point.

Because if Blount could have developed into a good power back we could have least hold down the fort with Ringer until CJ gets back. I know Blount and Ringer are unproven but what now if CJ gets hurt? Ringer and who? Some journeyman like Gado and his 3.5 YPC? Great plan. But at least we got not one but TWO special teams linebackers.

Aaaand that's the problem. We are not a proactive franchise and it's getting ridiculous. Instead of making deals we hope to play the cheap route of waivers. Instead of making deals we'd rather draft 20 guys, keep 3, and bench 2 of them. Year after year..same thing..same results..same guys in charge..

If the Giants lose Brandon Jacobs- they lose nothing.

If the Panthers lose D-Will, they have Stewart.

If the Cowboys lose Barber, they have 2 other guys that wont miss a beat.

We have TWO RBs... one of those being very mediocre and offering nothing but a lesser skilled version of our other back.

    That's a problem.

What "deal" could have possibly solved this issue?

This is a common criticism of the Titans, but almost every NFL team is run the exact same way.

Exactly. Most teams want 2 guys who can start. We just have 2 guys. Clearly we're content with running CJ into the ground and getting a very short career out of him.

I have never seen such hysteria over losing an undrafted free agent.

First, every RB in the league is a lesser-skilled version of CJ. Second, Ringer is a lot better than people give him credit for.

Losing Blount hurts for the future. Even if CJ was to get hurt thus season, Blount probably wouldn't have seen the field. He has a lot if developing to do.

For real, you'd think we just cut CJ.. This guy didn't even get drafted, that says a lot. He didn't do in the preseason either. It's just hype.

Yeah, I would not have expected Blount to save the season if CJ went down anyway. It'll be interesting to see what type of career he has, there is definitely potential there. And I don't see either special team LB we signed really having major impact. Hopefully they are AWESOME on STs lol.
