1rive 2:The Devils Double (must see Dominic Cooper performance) 3:Xmen First Class 4:The Guard 5:Contagion 6:Mission Impossible 4 7:Girl With the Dragon Tatoo 8:Limitless 9:Moneyball 10uncture I haven't see The Rum Diary or The Descendants both of which I have high hopes for. I think that it's been a good year for some high quailty mainstream movies. Xmen First Class is the best comic adaptation outside of Christopher Nolan. Brian Singer did wonders with the 1st Xmen movie but the series went gradually downhill from there. Horrible bosses is the funniest movies I saw all year. Real Steel and Fast Five were excellent above average popcorn movies. Crazy Stupid love best chick flick. Saw some great Sci-Fi films with Limitless leading the Adjustment Bureaux and Source Code. Mision Impossible 4 is the best of the series since the debut and a stunning action film. Fincher fan so GWTDT makes my list. Puncture is the best performance of Chris Evans career so far.
2011 was REALLY disappointing for movies. Out of what I saw this year I'd say I had a top three: 1. Rise of the Planet of the Apes 2. X-men: First Class 3. Hobo with a Shotgun I wanted to see Drive, Rango and Warrior but I never got around to it.
Drive was good but overrated imo due to its amazing soundtrack. Warrior - The fighting was awful, you don't need to be a UFC/MMA fan to catch how dreadfully unrealistic it was. However, the 90 minutes of drama before the fighting is a 9/10 movie, if you're a fan of either Tom Hardy or Nick Nolte in any shape or form, I'd highly recommend it. They both brought their best.
2011 did suck for movies. The only one I remember seeing that was good was Rise of the Planet of the Apes. After that I can't recall seeing anything half good. * Oh I did see Moneyball, but the ending sucked so it was easily forgotten.
Even the holiday movies sucked this year. Thought about going to the movies last night... and wondered what was playing. Looked down the list, watched some trailers, and decided to just go out and eat instead. Isn't Christmas time usually big for movies?
I haven't seen any of these movies. The only movie I remember seeing this year in theaters was Sherlock Holmes, that was 2 days ago. I liked it. Can't remember if it was 2011, but I saw the movie with Bradley Cooper and the drug that makes him smart Limitless? I liked that one too. I avoided movies that I knew I would hate this year. The last movie I really loved coming out of theaters was How To Train Your Dragon.
My 2 cents.. I'm sure it's not complete... Diary of Anne Frankenstein Attack the Block Red State Black Death Hobo with a Shotgun Rise of the Apes Troll Hunter Foo Fighters - Back and Forth
