Ben Foster is very under rated.

Maybe it's because I remember him on that old Disney TV show "Flash Forward" playing a nerdy kid, and now I see him playing bad*sses, but he's very solid as an actor. He plays bad guys well.

From Charlie Prince in 3:10 to Yuma to Jake Mazursky in Alpha Dog, and then Mars Krupcheck in Hostage. All bad, but all definitely different characters.

He might not be great, but he definitely deserves some praise. I havent seen him in Xmen, or 30 Days of Night. But he keeps popping up in movies and it takes me a second to even realize it's him. That's a good thing.

I think he's a good actor as well.

He's also parodied his recent psycho type casting in My Name Is Earl too which was pretty funny.

Only thing I can recall him in was in 3:10 To Yuma, which I felt the performance was over the top to a degree. But I still enjoyed him and the movie. The last scene with him and Crowe's character was brilliant though.

I recall his role as Claire's "sensitive" boyfriend in Six Feet Under being the first I saw him. Quite different from his more recent nutjob roles in 30 days, Alpha Dog etc. He could be around a long time as a character actor no doubt..
Another guy to watch is Garret Dillahunt...
