Excerpts from Patriots coach Bill Belichick’s conference call with Nashville reporters today (audio here):

Impressions of Titans QB Jake Locker: “He’s an athletic guy, good arm. I think he’s a real good talent and it looks like he has adapted well to the Titans’ system. … He runs well and they also use him on some moving pocket plays, bootlegs and roll outs and things like that and makes it a little tougher on the defense to find him.”

On Titans linebacker Colin McCarthy: “He has been impressive. He is a playmaker for them in all phases of the game. He makes a lot of tackles for them in the run game, and is around the ball in the passing game. … He is an impressive guy.”

Thoughts on Titans receiver Kendall Wright: “He is another good player and another good weapon to go with a pretty solid group that they already have offensively. They have good tight ends and now they have depth at receiver. … Once they get (Kenny Britt) back in there that really gives them a strong group at receiver. … Wright is young and he’s fast and athletic, and he makes plays after the catch. He’s a versatile guy who can do a number of different things like he did in college. He is a good player and he’ll definitely help them.”

Having CJ on the field definitely helps our offense out. He's a guy that can gash you for a long run and put 3 or 6 points on the board at any time. In addition, we now have Locker who can gash you for a quick 15 or 20 if you spy CJ and leave Locker alone.

I like our offense with everybody on the field together. We haven't seen much of it this pre-season but we'll get a chance to this Sunday. I think we'll break 20 points easily this weekend. While I'm not sure if that'll be enough to win, it'll be enough to make us competitive.

I say we score 28 easy. Evin McCourty can't keep Nate out of the endzone.

I'd like to see that. If we score 28 I think we come away with a W. I'm thinking our defense can hold them to 24 points or less. If they score more than that it will because of some big plays (blown assignment) or because of some fluke play. I really think that Brady is going to be bit**ing to the refs the entire game about all of the hits he's taking.

From what I've heard their offensive line is pretty questionable. Our DLine has looked good against suspect lines this preseason.

If our offense can get going early and keep scoring, I think our defense can keep Brady from scoring a lot. Hopefully Locker CJ and the offense show up to play sunday.

If our D-Line plays like they did in pre-season I don't think Brady walks out of this game. I'd gladly take a few flags in exchange for Brady being helped off the field. I want to see the old school Titans D. The defense that injured .5 QB's per game.
