Looks interesting to say the least. I'll be sure to get the demo sometime soon.
I'm just so used to using real NFL teams in Madden. This will be a lot different.
If it didn't look so NFL Blitz, I'd be a lot more interested.
The plastic players that all look 6'7 250lbs is weird. They all move the same, run the same speed (looks like), etc.
I don't know the politics, but it seems to me that EA Sports/Madden were fools not integrate this technology into their own game. It seems this could be the future of contact games IMO. Very smooth.
The contact is nice, but I played the demo and outside of good hits- it doesnt have much to offer. The players are too stiff, and the cameras are terrible. You basically have to hope your team tackles whoever got the ball because you can only see the field in front of you.
Would you say the tackling mechanics are better then Madden? Would you implement it in Madden if you had the choice.
yeah, which is what I originally thought Backbreaker was made for. I thought they'd show their physics engine- then hope Madden would bite. I still hope that happens. The physics, I like. The rest would take a lot of getting used to though.
Mostly likely you're correct. NBA Live or "NBA Elite" and NHL 11 are implementing real-time physics this year. It's only a matter of time before madden.
Depends if EA is willing to pay for the physics or create their own.
Looks like the same animations of GTAIV, The best madden was the madden08 for ps2. The animantions were perfect. They need to find a way to get back to that style before i ever buy their crap again.
