Apparently George Jung got out of prison two years ago

 

Worth a read, like I said the best stuff was left out. And that stuff at the end with him never seeing his daughter again was complete BS. He did get out pretty fast and went right back to smuggling weed from Mexico .lol.

The movie also exaggerates George Jung's impact on the cocaine market in the US. The real driver was the Colombian guy he met in prison whose real name is Carlos Lehder. Lehder was actualy very high up in the Medellin Cartel and part of Pablo Escobar's inner circle.
