PFT is reporting the Raiders are firing Art Shell today. Once we get a story link to it we'll move it out of the rumor mill.

It is Al Davis. He also thought building that horrid addition to the stadium was going to help draw people to the games and get him more money. The only thing it did was push the A's out of town and make every home game blacked out.

"Al Davis and Art Shell met today and discussed the 2006 football season. While Art will no longer serve as head coach, he and Mr. Davis have discussed and will continue to discuss opportunities for Art to remain a valued member of the Raider organization."

It's always interesting when The Raiders are looking for a new coach.. They'll probably bring back Jerry Glanville or Mike Ditka..
