To me, this is insulting. I think that a lot of people have taken the time to explain to you that they hope for the best to come out of Young, but have developed serious doubts about him over the past year or two. No good comes out of Vince Young being a bust! I don't think that there's a single person on the site who would like for Vince to be a bust. The argument is that some people feel that it is already clear that he is a bust, and get impatient with the discussion, especially from the people that are overly positive about him. As I've said several times, I'm in the middle. I really wish that Vince would take back the starter job and be the QB that we were dreaming of his rookie year. However, I don't think that it's likely to happen. On certain days though, I think it's still possible. It's going to continue to be debated as the preseason and regular season progress. However, to call people stupid and childish, and to think that only a couple of people have serious doubts, are basically accusations. Yes, there are inflammatory posters on this board (on both sides, by the way), but there are plenty of reasonable people who disagree, or who don't know what to predict, about this issue. Yes, a few people have been critical of Young from draft day. However, they've stuck to their convictions, and are looking smarter now than they were two years ago. I think many more of us have been hopeful, and have been taken on a bit of a rollercoaster by Vince's various performances. He's been owned by the Jags, multiple times. He's won us several games. There are uncertainties and stories about them (the san diego playoff game, the jags opener, the "suicide" watch) that lead to a lot of guesswork, and none of it is good. Vince Young is a tough issue for Titans' fans. It's evident in this thirty page thread. To boil it down to haters and fan boys is cheap and belittling. Those groups exist, and they have their justifications. If they could temper their statements, I'd probably take them more seriously. However, I think that the largest group is the "hopeful but doubting" middle. Man I wish that Vince would take back the position in camp and show us an amazing season! However, I think the most likely scenario is that Kerry is our starter this year, Vince doesn't agree to a reduced contract, and moves on to another team next offseason. What happens from there is beyond my powers of prediction.
