I'm sure we have, probably doesn't want to play here. He wants a shot to win i'm sure.
But no team stays the same year to year, surely he knows a bad team can become good, and vise verse.
I think it's a telling sign we plan on drafting one early
Yeah but if a team like San Fran, NE, Denver... offers him a contract, chances are they'll be legit again.
If I was a FA looking at teams, I would be like "DAMN!! The Titans are wanting to win this year! They have gone bawls out in free agency like a BAOWS!!!! Sign me up!!"
Unfortunately, I don't think that's how a FA views them lol.
You're probably right and this scares me. I'm in the minority but I don't think any of these corners are 1st round material. Rhodes or Trufant would be nice in the second but I wouldn't touch them in the first and I doubt they make it out of the 1st this year.
I would hope that the FO knows that the DL sets the DB's up for success. We need help on the DL first.
I had the same feelings about a month ago, then I watched more tape on the 3 guys people are talking about.
I don't know if Rhodes is as good as advertised, he had a great D-Line working for him, and can he bully NFL WR's? This isn't college where half the WR's he saw were dentists and office managers in pads. Does his style translate to the big leagues....
Milliner wont be there at 10 so thats that.
Now as for Trufant, at first I didn't care for him, but as I watched him I started to really like him. He'll blanket a receiver longer than anyone we currently have, which in turn means more sacks for us, which means more 3 & outs, which means more offensive drives, which means more points, which mean more wins, which means less holes in my walls.
I prefer a better Defensive line than defensive backfield since they're closer to the ball, but it goes both ways.
If your CB's can hang with receivers 5-6 seconds, it greatly increases your chances at getting to the QB.
