The bottom line is that Fisher isn't getting results. Six years without a playoff win from a guy who is one of the highest paid coaches in the league.

Just because some posters on a message board can't agree on who would be better doesn't mean that a better coach doesn't exist. That's the job of the search committee. The playoff results demonstrate that good coaches can be found.

As much as a change may be needed, it ain't gonna happen. If putting on that Peyton jersey wasn't enough to get the man fired, then nothing will be.

Bud doesn't have a clue, he's gonna ride with Fisher till the wheels fall off.

The fact that I included him?... I included ALL playoff coaches. The fact is: He's a newer coach. He's in the playoffs. As terrible of a coach I think he is- HE'S IN THE PLAYOFFS. As terrible of a coach you think he is- he's got more playoff wins in the last 2 days than Fisher has in the past 6 years.
And Fisher's at the top of their list? Really? Say's who? A bunch of rumor spreading kids on a message board?
Yeah, I'm sure the Cowboys are dying to dump their currently successful coach for one that's been underachieving since 1999.

    Ohh yeah, of course.
How about when your defense has absolutely no one more talented than the Titans D other than Mathis and Freeney? Is a coach still guaranteed 10 wins?

Can you imagine if Fisher coached that defense? They'd be ranked #32.

So I guess Fisher just doesn't have a talented team, right?
9 pro bowlers... Do the Chargers have that many? Hmmm... excuses excuses.

    The Jets aren't improved?
They went from the 16th ranked defense to #1.

Let that soak in for a second. Or go look up the word 'improved' in the dictionary. Either one, and then retract that one.

Their offense only dropped 4 spots with a rookie at QB- replacing Brett Favre.

An improvement of 1 game would have gotten the Titans in to the playoffs.
    They improved on offense.
    Their defense stayed the same.

The Broncos finished with the same record they had the previous season without their pro-bowl qb.
And no. The Raiders arent the same. They improved. The Chiefs? Improved.

I guess this all boils down to someone not understanding what the word 'improved' means.

Nothing will change. Fisher will remain.

But if I had the opportunity to replace him, I'd have to strongly consider Leslie Frazier.

How is Wade Phillips a newer coach? Guy has been around the league for years(Music City Miracle anyone????).....or do you forget why this was his 1st playoff victory and he was on the hot seat all year long. If the Cowboys would have lossed, Phillips would have been fired the next day.

And it is no rumor, Jerry Jones himself has publicly stated that Fisher has always been the guy he has wanted....sure it can be hearsay, but it has been said for the last 5 years.

    Fisher 5-6 in playoffs w/ Superbowl appearance...Phillips 1-4

Sorry just cause some of these coaches are in the playoffs does not mean they are great/good coaches.

Phillips and Turner have always been "Yes" men with talented players and assistants around them, its why they have their jobs. Infact the only coach I feel that is overachieving in the Playoffs is Whisenhunt...but how much is that attributed to the fact that the NFC West is horrible?? You can maybe say Sean Payton, but having Brees dilutes that question and lets not even get into Caldwell that discussion is void.

I can give credit to Rexy Ryan and Harbaugh...both their teams were able to take advantage of an AFC Conference where all the teams beat themselves up....and both have very young QB's.

I can't get past page one of this thread it's so ridiculous so I'll just say we are only a season removed from the league's best record. Our Titans won eight of their last ten games. The o-6 start was a pity... sure... change your tampons ladies.

For some, the league's best record doesn't prove much if the coach can't win in the playoffs. Or, with almost the same talent, follows it up with an 0-6 start.

best record with zero playoff wins.... awesome! i'd rather go 9-7 with a couple wins or even a super bowl....call me crazy!

you like to bring up last year soooooo, we also had a 3-10 run following our awesome start last year and 2 of those wins were the lions and the brownies :ha:
but i forget, we dont worry bout the losses, just the wins right?
