Considering they brought him in because Babs was playing poorly means there is a pretty strong chance they will look to get him on the field more in the next few games and if he plays well he should start over Babs. RoJo hasn't done anything either so why not give the kid a chance.

Right now our Ss are about as bad as bad can get and when we have injury at LB it makes it look even worse. Griff probably won't get benched but certainly we can try someone else at the other spot.

I don't think Gray likes Babs... Rojo got his starting spot, and he sucks. Then gets replaced by Afalava mid-game? Here's your sign.

Gray is just experimenting, thats all. He has no beef with Babineaux. He also pulled Spoon for Diles, and has since gone back to Babs over Rojo. He's just seeing what works.

He's the opposite of a Fisher coach. 3 years ago we'd never mess around and let players show their stuff.

Gray should post a signup sheet for fans that want to have a shot at playing safety. Its not like it would make the situation any worse.

Afalava came out and did all he could to show his skills. He new he had got the chance to prove he could start. I loved the hard hitting! Bout time someone laid the smack down! Even if he doesn't tackle (like most our DBs) he'll damn sure knock the snot out of the guy and slow him down later in the game...ou at least give him something to think about. Remember Bob Sanders of the Colts?

Wish he would experiment with some bump and run. That alone would fix most of the problems on defense. Yeah, we'd get burned here and there as apposed to being a doormat for 60 minutes of football.
