Why no poll? Nevermind, guess I was just that fast that the poll hadn't shown up lol

This is more like an elite eight match-up than an opening round...

ZZ Top, despite all the gimmickery, is still just a plain old I-IV-V blues band that anyone can jam on without having ever heard the song... and Gibbons did one entire album without the other members, which is lame.

AC/DC, despite accusations of being three-chord rock, actually have chord structures that must be learned before any hack can up and play them at an open jam, and it's a lot harder to sing like Scott or Johnson than Gibbons.

    No-brainer.

^^ haha, yeah I don't even consider the "bad years" of many of these bands. Any ZZ after Deguello is outright crap to me.. I do agree about the Blues comment - I once picked up a Robert Johnson set and low & behold, there was the roadmap for just about every Billy Gibbons lick ever recorded. That said, early Billy is as smooth as cool whip - just sweet on the ears. Brown Sugar, Arrested for Driving While Blind etc.. Nice stuff..
