I think a safety tandem of Griffen-Barron would be great for us. Barron is a true SS type who would give us better run support and Griffen is solid in coverage. Barron is tall and rangy, has a good nose for the football and takes good angles in coverage. Probably will run somewhere in the 4.52 range in the combine. Barron would be like Hope was when he first came here. Depending on his workouts and interviews he could be worth a 1st rd pick. Sean Spence is a great football player. Probably more of a 4-3 Will than a SS nfl draft scout lists him at 224 lbs. Coverage would be a major concern as a SS and he is short for a linebacker. Certainly worth a try in the middle rounds if he is there. A Thomas Davis type but Davis has bulked up to 240 lbs. Spence could probably play at 230 eventually.
