Which throw? From what game? The Cal throw at the 4:30 or the Oregon State at 2:55?

You're telling me that you honestly consider the throw from the Oregon State game 'routine'?

^^This is throwing it up for grabs.
You picked a pretty weak example, I've seen Newton make much better throws then that.

To bring this thread back on topic I posted the Cal vids because it was a game that the Palmer the OC specifically mentioned he viewed in his film study.

Giving us yet another opportunity to look at Locker's skillset.

Yeah, I'm sure all that East-West running he did behind the line of scrimmage will work fantastically in the NFL.

    Um...

That pass IS pretty routine. The three best things about that pass were that he kept the play alive long enough to find him, I doubt he was his first read, and he threw the ball accurately. But we've seen Locker throw accurately on the run before.

Moving in the same direction as the WR and throwing an accurate pass is not some miraculous play. High Schoolers can make that throw.

I don't understand why you would use caps?
    Lol, that WAS NOT routine.
Caps is kinda unnecessary don't ya think?

Anyway which play are you talking about?
I don't see how anyone can watch the play and call it routine.
That plays shows incredible athleticism, playmaking, arm strength and accuracy.
Rolling to his right with a man in his face he makes a high velocity 20+ yard jump pass into a small window to a blanketed WR.

There's only a handful of pros I think could repeat that exact throw.
If that's a routine play a highschooler can make I want to come coach where you live.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

Did you watch the Cal game?

Yes. I think we addressed all of our needs. Locker is the starter imo, not enough competition with Rusty and KC. And Ayers and Casey look to make an impact this year as well.
