Poe at 20? I hate taking first round DT's. I really hope this doesn't happen for real. Poe has a ton of physical tools and dominated at times but his motor is a huge question mark.
Poe is straight line fast(all that gut is pulling him forward, inertia at work). However, he does not have the burst off the snap. He is slow to get started. Additionally, he has short arms which will make it difficult for him to use his upper body strength to move opposing pass blockers.
He has a great burst... Dude ran a 4.8. If his burst sucks, he wouldn't have even come close to that. Don't worry, guys... He'll be long gone by pick 20.
No burst? You guys are crazy. The guy had a 1.68 ten-yard split at 345 lbs. That's better than a lot of the ends in this draft(better than everyone's love child, Melvin Ingram).
He sounds amazing, but Memphis was terrible and I watched Memphis games and he wasn't even mentioned. That scares me. You didn't watch LSU or Penn State or Michigan State and not hear about Brockers or Still or Worthy, etc, etc, etc.
No, actually he's an amazing athlete just not a great football player. It has been said that he takes plays off on tape. But great pick at 20, lol.
