did he throw enough passes to qualify???

VY had a really good game, suprised the heck out of me. I was pleased though. Really impressed with the fact that he was willing to run again, and the fade to Washington was awsome - a Titan QB actually throwing the ball BEFORE a WR had seperation! Just like the real QBs do

LMFAO...the guy only threw for 125 yards....Schaub does that in a off week. Stop pimping the guy's rating and wait till he's actaully "CONSISTENT" week in and week out, before you make a thread like this.

I mean crap, you act like he threw for 300+ yards or something.....the biggest difference in this game was the fact that the defense Tenn. showed up...NOT VINCE YOUNG and his measly 125 passing yards  (which BTW...isn't impressive AT ALL...seriously, Tenn must have a bad case of "lowered expectations" at the QB position if they're going to start a thread like this )

Have you seen the last 6 games that the Titans played? I'd look for positive yardage without interceptions in the passing game and see it as an improvement haha

You must be a Texans fan, referencing Matt Schaub as a QB that VY should be compared to.

First off, on that "off week" when Schaub throws for under 200 yards, his pass completion percentage is generally close to 50, he generally has more turnovers than touchdowns and his team generally loses. A few slight differences.

Second, if you saw the game, you'd know that VY did everything that was asked of him, and he did it well. Not every team relies on their QB to throw 30+ times a game, especially with someone like CJ.

He played mistake free football and came up clutch a few times on 3rd down. The throw to Britt on 3rd and 6 under pressure directly led to CJ's 52yd TD run. The bottom line is the offense scored 30pts and had possession for almost 40 minutes and the team came out with a win.

Not that I take much into this start other then it was good, he does have 4 games over 100 QB rating in his last 7 starts...that's fairly consistent.

good point, too bad it is over 3 seasons though - lol

seriously though historically VY has had, lets be kind and say, a difficult time with the TarpKitties.

The important thing is that vince is playing and we will get a chance to see how consistent he is.

A 100+ passing rating is outstanding no matter what the circumstances.

Bullcrap! The passing rating is an efficiency rating. It is because vince played well, didn't turn the ball over and kept some drives going that we were able to get a lead and not throw it more. He also got some first downs with his legs.

In short he did exactly what was asked of him. Mcnair had a lot of games like that.
