Yeah, hasselbeck wasn't. Collins got more chances than deserved due to him being a 1st round pick.
But by the time they got here, they were career backups. Their past means very little once they get here. By that rationale, Moss and Moulds weren't scrubs here. All of these people may as well have been career backups, because they were of little use to us.

But yes, you're right that those two weren't. but they were not good by the time they got here. Forgot about those two, because I'm used to seeing them as they are now, not what they were in 2003.

Hasselbeck had a good season here. So I wouldn't say he was only a backup when he was here.

Collins should never have been starting here.

So I more or less agree with your point as far as their Titans career goes.

I recall seeing several posts from you on how good Volek was and how terrible McNair was in the past. Saying McNair sucked his final years here is fair, but he was "pretty good" for most his career. Keep in mind he deferred to Eddie George many years and during the time he played, QB's weren't putting up 100 QB ratings left and right, McNair's QB rating for most of his career would put him in the "pretty good" category.

Yes, we all know in the 2 seasons that he was NFL worthy, he had a good winning percentage. Unfortunately he could not sustain anything.. Tebow had a better playoff winning percentage than Peyton Manning... is he a better QB?

if your QB is so good, what is the reason why he cannot land a job with the worst teams in the NFL as a backup? Is it a conspiracy, or is he just a GD bad QB and a moron?

I wonder if there are still Texan fans slobbering over David Carr? He had a more prolific backup career than VY did.

We're talking about time spent in Tennessee. Let's stay on topic here. If you care to bring in other stats go right ahead.

Again, lets keep it relevant. Something you guys always did have a hard time doing.

But don't let your bias blind you. A QB with great attitude and who looks the part but hasn't done anything is better than the opposite who helped win games through his play.

If this was the Leave it to Beaver competition, sure, I could understand other factors coming into play. But we're talking about what each player did on the field. Locker doesn't even have enough game tape to make a judgement either way. If you want to say he COULD be better fine, but to say he IS, is just stupid. Plain and simple.

And at the time I said that Vince was leading the league in many categories and had us off to a great start. He wasn't turning the ball over and had finally developed some pocket presence. What happened afterwards is irrelevant. I will state however that the team went down hill for a few years.

Ladies and Gentlemen: The only person who believes in VY.. other than VY.

The point I'm making is that every QB we've had here has sucked. Locker sucks. VY sucked. Hasselbeck Sucked. Collins sucked. McNair for the last two years here sucked. ODonnell was ok, but past his prime.

And we should also concede percentages of QBs who:
    - wanted to quit in the playoffs
    - wanted to quit in the regular season
    - threw their gear into the stands

But of course by all means let's favor the guy who couldn't make 3rd on the depth chart to the guy we just brought in to back up Locker..
The Titans greatest winning season since the McNair days was with KFC under center.
    Where do you grade him?
