    Yeah- I haven't heard why Williams didn't get the job he was supposedly "promised". Anybody know what happened with all that?

    A good move..

    Sometimes you have to take chances on a guy you think has those qualities to succeed. Snyder has always looked for a big name HC but in this case he made a great hire in an OC and in his conversations with zorn decided he was the kind of guy who would make a great head coach.

    I can't believe that zorn has not been an nfl OC after all these years. I think he will do well there..

    Nobody can say snyder is dumb when he bought a team for 800M in 99 largely on debt and now that franchise is worth 1.4B and at the top in the nfl in operating income. He hired one of the great coaches of all time in joe gibbs, granted in his 60s and opened his wallet and paid almost HC money to get 2 of the top coordinators there. He tried.

    Good point nigel. Working for holgren helped get him that job..
