Damn... Even NFL.com is slipping now.

    I love lazy journalism.

It's pretty sad that this is the most suspense and excitement I've felt all season, battling for the the number one pick...lol.

I actually like them being number 2 honestly. I don't think it's a huge deal, as long as they don't screw around, and actually take a playmaker at #2.

Mariota goes to the Bucs.. Big Titans decision.. Winston, Gregory and Williams will be the 3 on our board, and Cooper has an outside shot (think #2 too early)

Yea, only way for us to not pick 2nd is TB W/Tenn L. I meant we locked up 2nd in terms of not getting a worse pick since 1839 was talking about the 3rd pick.

I like being #2 because I think it saves the FA from themselves if TB takes Mariota. But then I guess they could take Winston. I just don't want a QB.

Ideally they trade back a couple spots, stock up on picks to fix the entire roster, and go BPA the rest of the way. Fix the OL so Mett isn't getting killed and he and Sankey will look much improved next year not running for their lives. I mean look at the Cowboys this year, that's ALL on their OL play. We have almost as much invested, no reason we shouldn't be seeing the same production. They got 3 OL pro-bowlers FFS!

Lewan / ___ / Schwenke / Warmack / Roos or ____ would be much improved. Really hope Levitre is sent packing.

The #2 pick might actually be a better spot to be in if they are wanting to trade out. If someone like the Jets wants to come up and get the QB, we could trade down just a few spots and still get Gregory, Williams or Cooper (if the Jets do in fact pick at #5).

We could get a huge haul for that pick, even if we don't get what STL got a few years ago. We could get an extra 2nd this year, their 1st and 2nd next year and probably a few later round picks. If I were Ruston I would try to get a player from their team I like as well, even though that's not usually done. Maybe ask for Muhammad Wilkerson, their 2nd this year, and their 1st and 2nd next year. Not as big a haul as STL but our team is instantly improved. Plus, if Mett doesn't work out, we have 2, #1's next year to use as ammo to move up and target someone in a stronger QB class.

I dunno. Just thinking out loud.

If TB does indeed take either QB first, anyone else who wants a top QB will be forced to make a play for our pick. Good spot to be in, might work in our favor for GM's on the hot seat like the Jets. I don't think we'll get a sucker like the WSH trade, RG3 had way more hype, but a good haul could still be had. RW needs to save his job, better not **** it up.

So I am sold on the no. 2 pick. Tampa is not beating the Saints. Brees and Graham and the team have too much pride, they will end on a good note. I am rooting for a titans win on Sunday. We cant lose and draft spots. End the season on a good note and beat Luck

Is that true? Even if we win we're still #2? I had wondered what the worst pick we could have was but haven't been able to figure it out or find it anywhere.
