Here's my updated Titans mock draft (04/22/11). With NO Trades. I think the Titans are going to try and trade down; but wont find a sutor. Alot of talk saying the Rams and Lions will try to trade up for #8 for Prince or Julio; but they have a ton of other needs and won't want to trade their 2nd/3rd. Therefore, we will not find a sutor.

1st Round: Von Miller, OLB, Texas A&M
2nd Round: Andy Dalton, QB, TCU
3rd Round: Jarvis Jenkins, DT, Clemson
4th Round: Greg Little, WR, North Carolina
4th Round: John Moffitt, OG, Wisconsin
5th Round: Brandon Bair, DE, Oregon
6th Round: Akeem Dent, ILB, UGA
7th Round: Lee Smith, TE, Marshall
7th Round: Allen Bradford, RB, USC

I think Von is exactly what we need, an impact player for the D. I personally think Will Witherspoon can switch to MLB, in case Tulloch leaves in FA. Von will give us an edge runner, and be able to guard TE with his athletic ability. Coming into the 2nd round I predict Locker, Gabbert, Newton, and Mallett will all be gone and possibly Ponder. I'm really starting to like Dalton more and more. He's got ok size, roughly 6'2 215. He seems very smart, and seems to be able to make all the reads. Even though he's not the fastest, he can get outside the pocket and make some plays. Plus; he's a winner - 2nd all time for NCAA wins as a QB. Reminds me of Ryan Fitzpatrick. Jarvis Jenkins is also a good selection, which should allow JJ to move to DE if needed. Going into the 4th, we draft Greg Little.. basically because Kenny will probably be suspended. Nate Washington is nothing, Gage should get released, and Damian is still unproven - WR is a need and Little could help us instantly. Moffit will also produce OG depth, and could potential be a starter. Brandon Bair didn't put up GREAT stats, but is a big body (6'7 274) and just what we need; and good strength. Since we're looking for bigger DE, he's just what we need. Akeem Dent will also provide extra depth for our LB corp. Lee Smith can provide us the #3 blocking TE we need. Then finally, Allen Bradford can compete for the power RB the team needs.

Here's my old draft, it was done 3-26-11; alot has changed since then.
    So here's the Titans draft:
1st Round - DaQuan Bower, DE, Clemson
2nd Round - Ryan Mallett, QB, Arkansas
3rd Round - Colin McCarthy, ILB, Miami
    4th Round - Tyler Sash, S, Iowa
4th Round (comp) - Daniel Thomas, RB, K. State
5th Round - Zach Hurd, OG, Conn
6th Round - Cedric Thornton, DT, Southern Arkansas
7th Round - Lee Smith, TE, Marshall
7th Round (comp) - DeAndre Brown, WR, Southern Mississippi

The first 3 picks would make me jump for joy. I actually could see that happening.. Mock drafts to me are clearly the first 3 picks.

Only person I don't see in their right spot is Daniel Thomas from K State. I actually watched this guy play about 3 times last year and he was pretty impressive from what I saw. Kinda reminds me of Pierre Thomas of the Saints. The only reason why I don't see him in the 4th round is because this draft is kinda RB weak this year and some people have him as the 2nd best RB behind Mark Ingram.

But overall, that's a really nice mock draft.

Do we really need another DE who's gonna blow his knee? Just kidding I'd like the pick if he's there. Mallett too second round, because he is a good passer, though he does scare me a bit.

    Bowers is legit.

Mallett is someone I have always liked. His character concerns don't bother me at all. I would jump for joy of we drafted Mallett in the 2nd round.

From what I've seen, McCarthy looks okay. I haven't really watched film on him, just some YouTube clips after I saw your post. He seems very instinctual, but he doesn't have great closing speed. It doesn't look like that 4.6 translates to the field, third round may be high for him.

You're right on DeAndre McDaniel, he's as overrated as they come. I stopped scouting him after 2 games. But, I also think Tyler Sash is pretty overrated. He lacks upper body strength, he isn't that athletic, and his game doesn't look like it will ever translate to the NFL. There was one game, I think against Michigan, where he completely bit on the pump fake, and his lack of overall athleticism/closing speed really showed up.

However, I do really like the first two picks. If we somehow drafted both those players, then we would have something to truly build on. Imagine, Bowers/Jones/Brown/Morgan.

I watched alot of Miami games this year and I would say that McCarthy isn't the best athlete on the field, but he is every where.

I think a 3rd round pick is reaching just a little, but if we drafted him with the 3rd pick I wouldn't be mad. Honestly I would rather take Casey Matthews with the 3rd.

Why isn't anyone talking about Mark Herzlich with a later round pick?

I like your draft and would be more than happy with it. I just don't think Mallett will be there. I think a lot of teams that need QB's that didn't take one with early 1st round picks will either jump back into the 1st near the end of the round or go QB with their 2nd round pick before we get to pick again at 39.

If this is the scenario we have, I think we'd have to find a DT in free agency.

IDK about that Vince Young trade.

I like this draft minus the Mallet part and the trade VY part.

The Mallett pick is my favourite.

Whats the problem with VY being traded for a 5th?
