Also how could I forget these two

The year without a Santa Claus - heat and snow miser
    &
Santa Claus is coming to town - the "one foot in front of the other" song is grilled into my DNA at this point I think, watched this movie about 800x a year as a kid

Where does A Nightmare Before Christmas come in?

    Halloween or Xmas movie?

    I think it’s both, personally.

The montage when he gets to NY even covers some pictures from the top of the WTC. Definitely a cool piece knowing what happened 10 years after the movie was released.

This may be blasphemy but I never really liked the claymation movies outside Rudolph. My wife watches them every year and my kids seem mixed on them but just not my cup.

Never saw Krampus, maybe this year is the year and nightmare before Xmas falls under both holidays I think. My little brother watched that movie and Rock-a-doodle on an endless loop.

It's funny, when it's Halloween season I tell myself it's "not really a Halloween movie" and when it's Christmas season I tell myself it's "not really a Christmas movie". So most years I end up not even watching it even though I really, really love it. It's just this weird thing that can pass for either while also not truly being either.

Watch yourself, Die Hard, mentioned in the OP as this is my favorite Xmas movie regardless of the argument whether it is one or not.
