    The demographic isn't surprising in the slightest. It's basically a bunch of dudes who grew up watching Die Hard a bunch as a kid just looking for an excuse to watch it every year lol.

    Maybe the definition of a Xmas movie has changed a lot over the years. I mean, even in 1989, how many movies were borderline Xmas movies? I know gremlins was brought up, as pointed out, I think of that no less of an Xmas movie than die hard.
    Maybe it’s just an after effect of all the 70’s drugs that we associate movies as Xmas movies that maybe really aren’t and that more movies regarding Xmas time but maybe aren’t Xmas movies exist.
