he isnt a bum...plenty of our WR's had drops. No need to single him out. He has skills, hopefully he will be healthy enough to show them this season.

Every WR has to improve. Not just Jones.

I think Jones is going to be a pleasant surprise this season. He's proven he can get it done. But he'll need to show he can be consistent if he wants to move ahead of Gage or McCareins for a starting spot.

Jones has shown more than the other two WRs that we drafted his year, Williams and Roby. I think Williams and Jones both have the potential, and really hope that one of them makes the leap this season. Jones was slowed by injury, it isn't crazy to think that he could make really significant progress this offseason and emerge as a solid #1 or #2. That being said, he could also struggle and end up not starting a single game.

I always thought Jones was the best WR on the team(even Bennett) until he got hurt numerous times. If he can stay healthy then he'd make a significant impact.

I agree. I don't know whats up with the "off with his head" fans out there, but he's a good player. He has dealt with injuries, and if he can come in focussed and healthy, he could really do some damage. He needs to get some more chemistry with Vince, though.

Bah, it takes a few years for a WR to develop. Brandon's development was stunted with his original injury then he came back too soon and had the season ending injury. He's going to turn out to be a great WR.

Gotta agree. I've been up on B Jeezie for a while now. Always thought that he had the most talent on the team. People will point out the drops, but every WR of note has had drops in his career, even in clutch situations. For example, T.O. is considered a top 5 talent, and the season before last had several drops due to... wait for it... injury. So I think with a clean slate, healthy legs, and added experience, he'll be a surprise to a lot of people on this board. I've stuck with him this far, might as well stick in for the ride. Though my previous statement that he will make a Pro Bowl in his career isn't looking too promising. I hope I'm proven wrong...
