Ford used to be somebody til foot inquires, has a few 100-yard games over the years, maybe a guy we use to return kickoffs, certainly a solid signing for a 2-14 team in January. I could see Ford shaping out to be our 4th WR next season. In Oakland he played a lot of snaps just never had a good team to go along.

Ford as 4th WR is crazy optimistic. Probably about a 3% chance he even makes the team.

If the guy is healthy he's pretty dangerous. Ive seen him play, guys lighting fast. I dont know the degree of his foot injuries, but if thats all healed up you better expect this guy to fight for a job.

Right now today (if he's healthy) he's absolutely better than Kris Durham, and Rico Richardson. Nate Washington will be gone, so who's even our 3rd string WR? We have Ford and a room full of practice squad level players.

I expect at least one veteran WR to be signed (can't go into the season with just Hunter and Wright) and another to be drafted, so both those guys would immediately be ahead of Ford in the pecking order.

I'm guessing they like him more for his KR abilities. But he could make it as our #6 WR and be the KR. Just hypotheticals because he may not be healthy enough to handle it.

Leon Washington has gotta be done... and they don't want McCluster returning kickoffs.

If Leon is back Im throwing stuff at him when I go to the game. Ill gladly get kicked out the stadium to let the team know how bad that guy is, but theres no way he's back, Webster isn't that dumb.

Depends where we draft said WR, I wouldn't put it passed Ford to beat out a 4th or 5th stringer, guys talented, just been unlucky injury wise.

No one thought Derek Hagan would even make the team... and sadly enough he started a couple games for us there at the end. lol

Ford definitely has a shot. It's not like we are loaded with talent... outside of Wright, Hunter (likely bust), and Nate (who I'm not counting on being back), we have nothing at WR.

Derek Hagan is the man, regular dude who does all the small things well, a real football player. Catches passes, sets up blocks, and even runs down kick returners. He deserves every chance to make this team in 2015.

I liked Ford coming out of college especially when we were having problems at kick returner. He is crazy fast like JC said. Maybe Whiz can get him involved in the passing game by using quick screens and such and letting him use his speed. Would be a good 5th WR who plays special teams.
