We had an organization, coaching and quarterback that would be respectable enough to attract a receiver like Randy Moss for a F'n THIRD ROUND PICK?

He wouldn't touch us with a ten foot pole and I don't blame him. Offensive weapons don't want to play here and it's depressing.

Think about what we could get Randy Moss for...the equivalent of the following players (independently):

    Rennie Curran
    Jared Cook
    Craig Stevens
    Paul Williams
    Calvin Lowry

    Shall I go on? :hmm:

Will we ever be that team that players like Randy Moss actually want to play for?

Not too jealous. Mn traded a 3rd round pick for 12 weeks of play. Moss was yapping about a contract in NE and will probably continue to say things the he doesn't really need to say. The real winner is belicheck. I'd be like a cool version of him If I were running thangs

Like last time when Moss was a free agent, he doesn't want to come here. He wouldn't come here. This isn't Madden.

Why would we want Moss? So he could be thrown to twice a game while CJ still gets 30+ carries?

First, respectable won't attract anything. Great might attract. Think you could say the same thing about 99% of the teams. Very few have all the tools to attract a superstar free agent. Only one or two teams will have a great coach, a great qb, and a great organization. Not even sure that exists now. We do have a respectable coach, respectable organization, and qb. Our coach has put us in the playoffs more often than not. Our organization has put a good product on the field, and rarely blown up the team for the sake of money. Our qb has a rating in the 90's and wins 75% of the games, and players enjoy playing with him. All three are respectable.

    What we also have is:

    A great rb
    A great defensive line
    A great kicker

Not too shabby. Better than 90% of the teams in my opinion.

I'll take that every day. You can't have everything be the best.

When is the last time you saw a team with the best rb, and the best qb, and the best coach, and the best organization. Not even the 49ers or Dallas had all that.

We have the tools to go the distance. Having the best rb is a huge advantage.

Nobody is the Yankees in the NFL. What teams are attracting the superstars? Not one that I can think of. Tom Brady is not attracting the top Wr's either. In fact, you got one wanting out. And he's the best qb. Peyton didn't attract one superstar WR. Nor did Brett Favre. Not sure that any team in the NFL has anymore attracting power than we do. Some have less. But who has really demonstrated they have a lot more.

It was never going to happen. I wish it would have but if Moss doesn't want to come here I can understand why. We'll never have a dynamic passing game under Fisher. And great passing games seem to be the trend to success.

I'm glad he didn't wanna come here

He does the same thing, has half a good season, then starts shooting his mouth, starts to say he's carrying the offense (which he blatantly would do if he came to Tennessee) then he'll start attacking the back room.

Minnesota can have the waste of space, watch his form, it's gona dip something rotten, he's gona be past it soon enough

Yet, they will overpay yancy thigpen and nate washington. 2 old steeler wr's let go and the team played just as good without them.
