Would You Pay for Titans SB Tix?

Discussion in 'Tennessee Titans and NFL Talk' started by NewHorizans, Jan 25, 2014.

  1. Price is no concern, I WILL BE THERE NO MATTER THE COST!

  2. Would pay above face value, but not more than $2K

  3. Would only go if tix price is face value, not paying a penny more

  4. Would only go if tix are FREE, I dont pay to see the Titans anyway

  5. NOTHING, I would rather watch at home

I was joking with the organs bit, but I would definitely do just about anything to make it to the game.

Ok, maybe the term 'casual supporters' was too lite of a statement. I don't think I am going to convince anyone of seeing my point of view if they don't already. So its just a difference of opinion. But I can say that with anything, you can rank fandom.

Sure, I believe you can rank fandom.

Losing for draft picks, rooting for rival teams, etc.

Yeah I know. And I know Bravey was joking about selling his kid. That was kinda my point. People are going to say "Of course! I'd do anything!" in a hypothetical scenario like this. But when it comes time to actually do it, many of them wouldn't back up their word. Not saying you wouldn't. But more wouldn't than would IMO.

I will pay up to 10grand for a ticket the next time IF the Titans ever make it. And if I'm healthy enough to go.

Well you're getting up there in years so hopefully it happens sooner rather than later.

    Did you go last time?

Well I suppose you can rank anything if you are so inclined. The problem is, how do you do it? Is it based on knowledge? Is it based on how long you've been a fan? Is it based on how much money you are willing to spend to attend the Super Bowl?

To be honest, all of those seem like pretty stupid ways to definitively judge "fanhood". The fact is there is no official way to rank/judge so I guess I figure why bother? I think it's safe to say anyone who takes the time to sign up for a Titan forum, and subsequently spends a good amount of time on it, is a pretty big fan. Or else they are in desperate need of a hobby.

I just can never understand why some people insist on getting in to a dick measuring contest when it comes to fanhood.

Pay way more than a normal game, then watch the game without the 'home game' experience, aka the only reason to watch games in person anyway? Yeah, I'll pass. Maybe instead of telling my grandchildren about the time I went to the Superbowl, I'll tell them about how cool it was on TV, and then about all the awesome **** I bought with the 2k I didn't spend on tickets.
  9. RTH

    RTH Meh...

Honestly, I'd just enjoy it on TV with my friends... and tell my daughter how she was able to go to college because I didn't spend her savings on the Super Bowl... ;)

I guess I didnt mean to go this deep into the debate. Don't remember what commit started it. I have had conversations this past year about who was a bigger fan of the Titans with some friends at a local bar. But that was started by someone who pointed out how much of a fan I was.

Don't think the dick measuring is on purpose. But this forum is clearly not the place to try and say anyone is a bigger Titans fan because as you pointed out, anyone who takes their free time (sometimes work time) to post on a 'gotitans' forum is a pretty big fan. And bigger than almost anyone I know personally here in Nashville.
