this is not a what u want thread (obviously...) but rather what you think will happen with this situaiton....

personally id be very pissed if the titans let him go...hes just too good especially since our team stresses the fact that they dont go after FA's b/c they r too busy keepin our good players (ie - roos, stewy, KVB, finny, etc...) but i've also seen the titans ugly stingy side too....either way if they say they keep the good players..they should def keep our best...right??

He's franchised, so you can't resign him, untill the season is over.

I think we keep him. We know how much he is worth more than any other team. Big incentive contract with a small base salary is the way to go for him.

What incentive does Haynesworth have to not allow himself to go out on the market? He'll get a big offer from the Titans but someone out there will pay stupid money for the best DT in the league.

If he continues on his current pace, I give the chances of him being in two-tone blue about at 15% right now. Maybe less.

I agree Jeff. He will sign with someone else. But I also believe he wont have a big impact with whatever team he signs with. He will return to his old self after he gets the new contract.

I say let the front office deal with whether he is here next year. I will focus on the short term and trust that JF and MR knows what they are doing.

We are probably going to end up losing Schwartz anyways. I mean seriously, doesn't anyone think he will end up coaching the Raiders or someone? I'm actually amazed he hasn't landed a HC job yet. Well, what I'm saying that if Schwartzie goes maybe the scheme that so heavily involves #92 will change up a bit, enough where the team, meaning Fisher and MR will look at the whole cap, draft and FA picture and decide to go another direction. You know, as to not tie all that money up in one defensive player. Maybe, and perhaps to our detriment, wholesale changes will be made to the defense. I don't know. It will be interesting to see what the future brings and if JS will be a part of it.
