The best exercise does not involve a video game.

0% approval rating from the quorum
i guess this is either a love it or hate it concept

on several sites I visited last night, it's a love it thing

to each his own I guess

PS2 had the same concept with the Eyetoy. It's an easy way out. As Kami said, hit the gym, get some sunlight.

The natural way is the best way.

    it's different
gives people different stuff to do
not sure the premise is to replace workouts

i think you might be trying to make it into more than it is

    yeah yeah yeah
Xbox had the Yourself Fitness game too

    not the point

i don't think the market is gym members and weightlifters
it's target is the same family, party, newcomers thew Wii's been targeting

there's really not alot of gym-esque segments of this package anyway
aside from the simple yoga, stepping , pushup, etc.... exercises

not sure when skiing, soccer headbutting,etc.. became gym programs

and even if it were .....
at least it's structured and presented in typical Nintendo style
it's not like walking into a gym and going ... ok, what to do first / next

look, I'm not saying this thing is gonna be the next thing in gaming, exercise, life changing events or whatever

but it does give the family something they can do together without having to leave the house .... whenever they feel like it

that's going to appeal to some people

And you think not leaving the house is a good thing?

What kind of social upbringing is that for a child?

what are you talking about ?
you've missed your medication again haven't you ?

blabbing on about raising children and such
    ridiculous

but let's not give them something new .... just because it may also be healthy ? what if turns out to be a blast to play ? still not good enough because the kid isn't outside or at a gym ?
    ridiculous
perhaps it's better to let them sit there FOR HOURS stuffing their little faces with Cheetohs and Mountain Dew ? only moving when they need to go potty

you're making it out to be something you're going to spend hours at a time with like a Kotor or a Final Fantasy, let me help you, it won't be

i doubt this gets more than an hour or so in any sitting... and get some blood flow at the same time ? it's a good thing ... especially for a country that needs some trimming

    soooooo close minded
