Why can't Titans run the ball?

I just think it's funny that Mariota didn't make that exclusive list by having the same number of successful years (1) and even more, was specifically called out as less than each of those QBs. Watson hasn't even played an entire season.

 

I know we shouldn't pay attention to the media that much, but it just bothers me how much people harp on Mariota as a bust because of his stats this year when he easily has the worst offensive coaching in the NFL and also has about 4-5 dropped TDs.

Like seriously, Colin Cowherd was saying how the Titans would dump Mariota tomorrow if they had the chance. What kinda BS is that.

 

And, how many of our drops are wide open. More than other teams I would think.

 

I do not care what Cowturd says and never will.

 

Cowherd was riding Luck's jock from day one. Started dissing players like TY Hilton when Luck was struggling... ironically since he was all about him prior.

 

It bothers me than in a recent interview Robiskie claimed that 80% percent of the offense revolves around Mariota's legs. Now I know there is no exact data in the number of plays that require the threat of Mariota's legs but its alarming that Robiskie would say a percentage that's so high. That means Mariota is developing habits of being a scrambling qb that's limited in the pocket. That never lasts in the NFL.

 

Nope. They just sting more because our offense is garbage.

 

The impact is merely higher due to this offense having little room for failure. It's an all-or-nothing offense. If one aspect doesn't work... we're ****ed.

This is basically why we can't run. Teams stack the box, line up run blitzes in areas where the receivers can't even get a hand on them, yet we still try to execute plays that are doomed from the beginning.

 

We have very few drops. Go to the DVAR report. Stats there. Decker had a hard time last week, but it was bitter cold.
