Who Will Be Backup QB While Fitzpatrick Is Starter

Yup. Really doesn't matter who it is, if Fitz goes down I'll be crying while looking over the 2014 draft thread.

 

No team will win in this league having to play their 3rd string QB for any length of time.

 

The only real option is Rusty Smith, sorry to report .

By the way, when I B&M about how the Titans need to draft a QB in every draft this is part of the reason why.

 

Yea this will be tricky because if we IR Jake we lose him til week-13, but do gain the extra roster space.

Who do we cut if we bring Rusty back?

 

Don't forget about Brett Favre. You can't tell me that Brett would be worse than Gabbert right now.

We could also look to trade for another QB, using Brittney to help. We could bring back Matt Hasselbeck, go get Cousins from Washington, Kolb from Buffalo.. all those guys are better than Rusty. As long as Locker's injury is only 1-2 months we won't need to do anything drastic though.

 

Seems like we've got a couple D-lineman wasting space. Do we really need 6 DEs? Dawson maybe?

We have to make a play for Freeman.

Looking at every backup in the league Cousins is the only one I'd really want to acquire but obviously no way Washington gives him up except for maybe a 1st round plus and that is way too much at this stage in the game.


Freeman for Britt straight up. I'm shocked if the Titans haven't already made that call.
