White and Vickerson Traded to Seattle

Another example of how inept our FO is. Truly pathetic trade.

 

Can anyone verify if this link says we have pick 127 in round 4? On my page it says we have the pick, but I don't think it's correct.

I think they should gotten their 4th pick and kept ours, not swap picks. Lendale did a lot for the Titans up till last season when CJ stole the show.

This looks like a salary dump.

 

but he didn't do squat last season, and the NFL value is all about what you did last year (unless you spent it all injured)

honestly the only reason he got the value he did might be b/c we were trading with his own coach, Carrol; he might not have even garnered that value

 

Not like we didn't think this was going to happen... But what happened with Haynesworth??? I thought he was a real possibility. Losing White doesn't hurt our on field production, but to give up a starting quality RB for NOTHING was DUMB. Then we handed them Vickerson?!? WOW!

 

This deal was absolutely ridiculous. This Verner guy better turn out. And Ringer better be ready to step up. Lendale may not have had much value but I gotta think he was worth more than moving up 7 spots in the 4th round. AND we had to throw in Vickerson to make it happen?

Oh well, good luck to Lendale in Seattle (except if he's playing us). He deserved a chance to actually see the field.

 

Seahawks get Titans RB White for picks (AP)

The Seattle Seahawks have acquired former USC running back LenDale White, a defensive tackle and two draft picks from the Tennessee Titans in exchange for one of their fourth-round draft choices and one in the sixth round. Saturday morning's deal gives the Seahawks' Tennessee's pick seven spots later in the fourth round, at 111 overall.

The haynesworth thing wasnt a possibility, it was a rumor; it became a rumor we wanted to happen so much that in our minds it became a "real possibility" almost like the Jax fans that wanted Tebow to be drafted


There wasnt very much value to get from the players to begin with; I think the only reason Lendale - who you have to remember did nothing last season - could even garner near a 4th at all was that Carroll had been his coach
