So... this year it's a bowl of vanilla. Last year it was a bowl of cold mashed potatoes.
Vrabel has maintained no one will make more mistakes than him this season
Rookie HC looking like a rookie HC
I didn't get to watch the game, what mistakes was Vrable making?
My biggest complaints last year was the playcalling, and route combos/concepts ... fix those 2 issues and the offense would be 10x better, even if you kept Mualrkeys playbook
I don't get the Vrabel thing at all. Some people just want him to fail I guess. I didn't get any bad vibes from him last night.
They already did, and it was. Not once did I hear "#71 is reporting as an eligible receiver" last night.
His 40 time will land him on some teams practice squad, possibly even ours.
You dont turn in a 4.2 forty and completely disappear your rookie year.
Kalen Reed got exposed last night
Week-1 preseason games are too sloppy to pin any one thing on the HC, lot of inexperienced players out there.
Its a process getting to where you need to be, thats why we have preseason.
We'll be able to start seeing how inexperienced Vrabel is next week. If we see no improvement thats on him.
Last night was both good and bad, Im not about to sit here and act like Vrabel is a problem from one sampling. But he keeps saying hes going to make mistakes. Which TBH is not a bad thing to hear from the guy running things. Thats going to allow him to grow as a coach and get it right.
