oh and the titans have a new clock control strategy to employ. have the punt returner call a fair catch and have him bobble the ball for 10 minutes. burned almost a whole quarter in one play. boo yahhh

You do understand that at a certain point rather quickly....that its no longer bobbing the ball. It is purposely juggling the ball in an ATTEMPT to move the ball forward.

    5. Any undue advance by a fair catch receiver is delay of game. No specific distance is specified for undue advance as ball is dead at spot of catch. If player comes to a reasonable stop, no penalty. For penalty, five yards.

You are missing the point anyway. Its a pick the lesser evil situation. It may be a long time before we EVER see this play happen again.

Sure sounds like a lot of grey area, to me. Which, if I'm not mistaken, was part of your argument for keeping the rule.

So, which is it... grey area if the rule is taken out or if it is left in?

Just one of those BS rules that makes this game "technical." He's was obviously not going to catch that ball, so this is where they should be able to review something like this... Fisher will mention this I'm sure in the off-season.

Not really. I mean, have we had the CURRENT grey area even come up before?

Doesn't matter... whether something happens often or rarely, it still matters. Obviously you don't agree, otherwise you never would have brought it up as such.

You're argument appears to be based on it happening "rarely." Weak argument.

Clearly that is only half of the lesser of the two evils argument I have presented. if you can't put it all together, then thats all you. I'm done trying.

Texxan is right here. The reason the rule is like this is because that's the only way it could make sense 100% of the time. It's just not something that I personally was aware of before this. It sucks, but it's the rule.
