Okay that won me over.

I always think people **** all over Eli too much. Kind of like people ****ting on Drew Brees....

 

Truth is, we are still a long way away from being a real every year contender. The talent is just not there. You hope we have the biggest piece at QB but not much else to build around yet. So Coughlin would come in and at least ship Hunter, Sankey, etc that don't contribute out of town and get some workers in here. I hope it would translate in to better mid-grade free agent signings at any rate.

Not my first choice. We all want the next homerun that will be part of a 4 Superbowl wins in a decade type of coach. Coughlin can't last that long but he might be a good choice for us to take a step above drafting #1 overall and building closer. Who knows, maybe he strikes lightning and can get it done in 3-4 years.
