I don't think so. Barrell seemed to be the name speculated the most and he and many other good candidates are still out there.

I doubt the front office is going to be like "oh guess we better start making a list today".

 

I think you are seeing it now.

It's less of a slap in the face than firing him during the season, or immediately after the last game, or even on Monday.

And they are probably setting up a nice press conference where the Titans will say "we respect all that Munch has done for the organization blah blah blah"

Yeah but other teams will have already interviewed Bevell (and can negotiate with him), and the Titans won't be allowed to until after the Seahawks are eliminated now. Big disadvantage.

I think you are right on the money. I also think we have known for awhile that it was coming and have reached out to a number of candidates, way before now. Besides most of the firings where monday, and it is only friday of the same week.

 

The slight silver lining in this is that the Titans aren't any further behind all the other teams in interviewing Greg Roman.

It's coming fellaz..I have a good feeling about this. I mean, 2-20 against winning teams??? That speaks VOLUMES regardless of respect. I think Tommy boy knows he needs to make a move for the fan base in Tennessee.

 

That's been the fear most of us have had all week long. But hopefully, HOPEFULLY, Tommy Boy can't be that freaking stupid. IF Munch is indeed fired I'm really hoping that we've already reached out to some candidates we like who have shown interest.
