That is simply not true. He's missed on almost all FA's but Delanie Walker- maybe one or two others- I'll have to pull the FA signing lists. His drafts? Uh-huh- he hit on Casey, Williams, Lewan other than that I haven't seen much promise in others. Warmack maybe a turnaround that's all that comes to mind.

Zach Brown was benched for attitude IIRC. How is that a hit?

And in the unlikely event that "injuries" were to blame for last season, just whose responsibility is it to have the team stocked with depth? Just how far down did we go on the depth chart when we were getting blown out?

Truth is- Webster may not be that bad. But he totally F'ed up the OL re-build. And a lot may appear worse because of it. But it is HIS responsibility to get that right- and he didn't.

Really? The guy has shown NOTHING special. Except how to throw away a 3rd round pick.

Hunter has a lot of potential.

Up until now he hasn't had a QB to get him the ball.

    He hasn't stayed healthy.

If Mett has the rocket arm that 95% of armchair coaches and Twitter bloggers think he does the Hunter might be in business this year.

My takeaways from Webster and Whiz are that Leonard Williams will be the pick.

Webster took time to praise him and said he's great as a rusher and against the run. He was the only prospect he really praised.

Whiz said it's worth passing on a QB at No. 2 if the Titans can get a J.J. Watt-type player. Williams has been compared to Watt (in that he plays the same base position but can move around the line and disrupt).

Seems pretty locked in to me. Only thing that would change it is if the Titans whiff on OLBs in free agency.

I would think the rough plan is to target OLB in free agency and then go Williams at No. 2.

I think the Raiders are high on Williams- it COULD be a smokescreen. I wouldn't mind it if we duped the Raydah's and wound up getting a trade.

As fans you WANT to be optimistic. We have shown optimism when the team has given us enough to warrant it (and plenty of times even when they haven't).

But the sad fact is we haven't made the playoffs in 6 straight seasons, haven't won a playoff game in 11 straight seasons, we're 38-58 since our last playoff berth, and we just came off by far our worst season in franchise history.

Why in the world would we NOT be a bunch of whining pessimists at this point?
