We are going to make the play-offs.

This is exactly the kind of post that sickens me, for many reasons. The spelling error, especially repeated three times, is a little annoying. But the sheer inaccuracy and lack of logic to the claim is the main problem. First, several analysts said that we would get more than 6 wins this year, some didn't, but some did. Second, I'm not satisfied with 7 wins, and we certainly don't deserve to go to the playoffs if we lose out and go 7-9, which is what you've made this post sound like. It sounds like you think we just automatically deserve to go.

What team deserves it more than us? How about the ones who are playing well and winning games? This is the NFL, you don't just get to go to the playoffs because one fan, who can't even take the time to spell check his posts, really really thinks we "deserve" it.

Plenty of teams lose vet players. Plenty of teams get written off. That doesn't mean you don't have to earn it.

My final problem with the post may actually be my biggest. How dare you tell the entire group of posters to be ashamed of themselves. For one, that devalues the word itself, you don't really want the entire group of posters to feel true shame, so don't misuse it. Second, you haven't even addressed who you're talking to, so this is vague, and insulting to those to whom it doesn't apply. Third, as we've tried to tell you many times before, everyone on here is clearly devoted to the Titans, at least in some way. The massive put downs and disrespect are inappropriate. If you really think we deserve the playoffs right now, with only 7 wins, then argue it, don't just claim to be right and insult others. The titans had a great opportunity on sunday to put themselves in decent playoff position and they failed. By that mark alone, they don't deserve it. They might fight their way back in over the next three weeks, but don't claim that they've gone 3-0 yet, that's a long way away.

To directly answer your challenge in the post, here are the teams that deserve to go to the playoffs more than we do, there's more than one. There's actually six...

Patriots- they're undefeated, they deserve to go to the playoffs more than we do.
Colts- they beat us, and have only lost two games, they deserve to go to the playoffs far more than we do.
Steelers- especially if they beat the Jags today, but even if not, they've won two more games than we have, they deserve to go to the playoffs more than we do.
Chargers- They just beat us in a game that we really needed to make the playoffs, they now have a significantly better record, they deserve to go to the playoffs more than we do.
Jags- They came back to our house and rocked us while we sat back and took it, and they have a better record, therefore, they deserve to go to the playoffs more than we do.
Browns- They have a better record than we do, but they even qualify under your more generic "deserving" criteria. How long have the browns gone without making the playoffs? Much longer than we have, they've suffered massive injuries to key players over the last few years as well. But they're showing up on the field, and earning their way to the playoffs. Therefore, they deserve it more than we do.

I'd even argue that the bills do, under your criteria. They have probably twice the injuries that we do, and have lost some heartbreakers this season, but have come back and are actually making a playoff push, unlike the Titans, who are falling fast and hard and not taking a stand.

IMPROVE YOUR POSTING, FOR EVERYONE'S SAKE. THIS WAS UNACCEPTABLE.

 

Whoever gets the slots deserves to go. It is that simple.

The Titans have sucked & really don't deserve a break IMO right now but seriously,how can you include the videogate wonders in your 'deserving category'? Take away the cheatriots & the Titans are fully deserving of a playoff spot.

Whoever gets it- deserves it. There is nothing subjective about it. Even if it comes down to the coin toss- it is just luck.

Basically- Bengals have to beat the Browns unless Pittsburgh loses out. Appears the likelihood of us winning out and Bengals beating Browns or Pitt losing to St. Louis AND Baltimore is roughly 20% (1 in 5).
