    You're right.

Cam Newton will be even worse than VY.

And no baggage? Lmao... Newton already has FAR more troubles than VY had at the same period in his life.

He IS VY pt 2. A big scrambling QB that can't throw an NFL caliber pass, lead a WR or hit one in stride. He waits for someone to get open and lobs it. He rockets 5 yard passes over WRs heads, and he's about as smart as a box of thumbtacks.

In other words: No thanks. Not impressed. He's nothing but Tyrell Pryor in a better suited offense.

I think we should bring in McNabb (for temporary purposes) and hope to get Lucky in next year's draft.

He doesn't have the speed VY had, and even VY was held in check at the NFL level. So he's not going to be a running threat.

His arm is decent, but not very impressive. Accuracy is an issue, and the kid is involved in a heap of trouble. No thanks.

We wouldn't be anywhere near the top 5 if we bring in McNabb for next season..

If someone just happens to do something wrong in his past then everyone seems to think he is terrible. I watched this kid play and he has alot of potential. He has a cannon of an arm, if we get him he could develop into a Steve type more then a Vince type. Accuracy will come if we can put him into an offense with Britt Moss CJ and Jared Cook. But he is a "Black Mobile Qb". No one wants another one of those.

Why do fans still insist on drafting a guy who we can 'develop' or 'because we have britt, cj, and cook, the accuracy will come?'

It's almost like you admit you really don't want the guy based on his skill, but because of some other desperate need for your 'mobile qb' to eventually make it, you just keep on rooting for one to succeed. Until that happens, and the Manning, Brady, Big Ben, and Brees quit winning Super Bowls, let's stick with what has historically worked; a pocket passer with the ability to play the defense and not allow the defense to play him.

Vick is light years ahead of any other mobile qb and he's never even BEEN to a Super Bowl, much less won one. I really do want to know what the love affair is with these guys when none have ever won anything (except in college).

Mobile QB's just started getting a shot in the league. I'm not saying they're the future but I think you'll start to see more of them. Why not have a QB who can scramble when the pocket breaks down?

Cameron Newton is TO at QB if you watch his sideline antucs during and after games, He is talented, but I am not sure hed adjust weol to the NFL, and quite honestly, the difference in their college careers is that cam Newton won the heisman, and has supeirior stats under what is probably the best spread OC in the game. If you want the truth, in the NfL he will probablaly be dramitically similar to VY.

But, even if I like VY, i think a pocket passer would be better, simply because its hard to defend a draw to CJ when your line has commited full on to pass rush to keep the QB from going deep to kenny britt.

Big Ben is NOT a pocket passer, he is way more accurate when rolling around. The only QB in the draft I would have wanted over Cam was Luck but he is not an option. There have been "Mobile QBs" who have developed into pocket passers.

Steve Young was terrible wasn't he?
