Veteran FA WR JROB will sign?

    Meh. If you’re making $150k or so and even slightly famous at 18, tail ain’t gonna be a problem.

    And of course, you’d have a harem of xfl cheerleaders to pimp out too.

    I didn't think you meant permanently. But where I think this hurts them, is they bypass showtime at the SEC or BIG10 which leads to a great draft spot and a guaranteed contract worth a lot more than the 3 years of $150K and their initial contract in the NFL as an UDFA.
    I think playing for the XFL eliminates their chance to be drafted and they are only showcasing their talents against practice squad guys at best. In college, they play against at least a few other NFL talents.

    I just think that would actually cost the top college talents money in the long run. 150K/yr now cost possibly a few million in their rookie contract.

    The other part of this, is without the college standout experience, they are still an unknown commodity (outside those that pay attention to "top HS recruits"), not the "big name" the XFL is really going to have to rely on.

    Definitely have my doubts. All the more reason why they NEED big names.
    I think Vinny Mac will cave if given the opportunity to sign a trouble maker with a name like manziel

    XFL would be great for guys like Manziel, VY, Kaepernick and UDFAs that can't stick on a NFL roster.
