Vaughn FG Gives Titans 17-16 Win Over Raiders

    SUMMARY: John Vaughn kicked a 33-yard FG as time expired to give the Titans a 17-16 win over the Raiders last night. With just over two minutes remaining in the game, the Raider looked to have the game in hand with a 16-14 lead and the ball on the Titans 1. Tony Joyner knocked the ball loose from Oren O'Neal and Stanford Keglar recovered the fumble. Ingle Martin then went 6-of-8 including a 26-yard pass to Chris Davis to set up with game-winning FG. Earlier in the matchup, Vince Young was 4-of-13 for 37 yards and left after five series. Chris Johnson was the leading rusher for the Titans with 46 yards on eight attempts. Lavelle Hawkins had a 51-yard TD reception from Kerry Collins in the third quarter. Earlier, the Titans scored a TD with a fumble recovery by Ahmard Hall on punt coverage.

    A stellar effort by the youngsters, especially Martin and Vaughn! It was really good to see the local boys do well. As King, I grant them the position of barons of the bench. Keep it up and you will find a place in the Kingdom of Football!
