    how is paying Smith $7M/yr cheaper than drafting a WR?

    an early pick on a WR that might take 2-3 years to develop is a big investment in itself no? hasn't worked out for us in the past.

    upon further investigation, turns out Smith is in fact due about $7M/yr going forwards

    they front loaded that bonus so its off the books more or less by next year
